Defender Updates on Vista???

I received an update for defender this morning, now my Vista Moments of the
jumping cursor wipe out everything I had typed in all applications including
this Windows Comment area. It is getting worse by the day with every update.

Hi Stillarfish:
have you tried system restore. The defender update I ran this A.M. set a
restore point before it loaded the update. So far I have had no trouble, but
then I'm probablynot running the same 3rd. party programs as you are so I
haven't had any compatibility problems.
