Well you are in good company because Eric Raymond (a Linux icon) had a
difficult time making CUPS work as well.

http://www.catb.org/~esr/writings/cups-horror.html

Of course the Linux loonies will deny there is a problem and how
everything just works for them.

Good luck!

CUPS, and printing in general under Linux is a nightmare.
So is SAMBA.

This "story" is more than 3 years old.

Try something more up-to-date next time.

It doesn't matter.
Three years ago the Linux crackpots were wailing and whining that
there was nothing wrong and that Raymond was an idiot.

Same thing with fonts.
The Linux idiots to this day calim there is no problem, yet there are
hundreds of web pages and How Tos devoted to fixing something
that according to the Linux zealots isn't broken and never was.

You see, it's always the same old collection of lies when it comes to
Linux.

Maybe they should change the name to LIE-nix.

Yes it does. CUPS has massively improved in 3 years.

Can you prove that?

What's wrong with the fonts? I've no problems.

Huh? Are you complaining about too much documentation? Some people will
bitch about anything.

Well, the thing for you to do is to stop telling them.

Gentoo? never heard of it. As is usual with your replies, it's based
around what YOU want/need as opposed to the greater good. But then you
have also been quoted as saying you dont want things getting better and
attracting the wrong kind of user.

Don't be such a twit. 3 years ago was worse than now.

Hey everyone. Greg uses Gentoo. It "works for him".

Gah. I usually don't resort to filters, but you're simply too stupid to
deal with.
