WINWORD 97 vs WINWORD 2007
I have a bunch of old files created with WINWORD 1997.
I would like to set the file association to use the 97
version when I click a *.doc file. No matter how many
times I try to set the association, it keeps demanding
that I install/initiate the 2007 version. What is the
dollar cost for using Word 2007 ? I have already paid
for Word 1997, and I am not interested (at this time)
in making more investments.

question
How to suppress word 2007 from demanding attention?
Charles

I just allowed Word 2007 to pick up one of my old files.
It asked for my 25 digit product key, but then allowed
that I may invoke Word 2007 22 more times without the
key. Perhaps... If I use it 22 more times... it will go
away.

Question
Just in case I become enamored woth Word 2007, what is
it going to cost me?

OBTW I am using Vista Home Premium, and Word says it is
the student and home something version.

You have a trial version of Office installed on your computer.
Either buy it, or uninstall it!

After 10 years with word '97, shout yourself a present!

We are other Vista users, not microsoft re-sellers!
