Upgrading XP PRO SP2 to Vista Home Premium
I tried this tonight. The update advisor failed at the last step because it
couldn't connect to the internet even though the internet is working. I then
went ahead with the install and after several minutes of disks spinning etc.
I get a notice that upgrade from XP PRO SP2 requires a fresh install I can't
upgrade.. Why do they call it an upgrade then? What am I missing?

Thanks for any help, Rich

Re: Upgrading XP PRO SP2 to Vista Home Premium
You can't upgrade from Pro to Home - that's not considered an upgrade. The
only upgrade paths with Pro are Business or Ultimate.
