Protected mode IE cache, where does it go?
Hello,

I am running IE7 on Vista in protected mode. When I go to
Internet Options->General->Settings->View Files
I don't see any cached files no matter how much I surf
(unlike when running on non-protected mode). I also
tried cd'ing to Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files
neither that nor the "Low" directory within it contain any cached file
(I did check all the hidden files and subdirectories).

Can someone tell me where can I find those files??

Thanks

If you type the following path into Run..., do you see anything (hidden files
must be shown)?

C:\Users\(YOUR USER NAME)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
Files\Low\Content.IE5

Re: Protected mode IE cache, where does it go?
I have looked into that directory already, there is nothing there
(Yes, I did use the option of showing hidden files). All I found
was 4 empty directories (those with random names)...

What is going on, where are my cache files... are my files even
cached? Anybody wants to share their experience? When you go
to view files, do you see your cached files?
