Screen Saver
I am using My Pictures as a screen saver. For some reason after some
undetermined time they are no longer displayed in color but black and white.
Has anyone else experienced this and know how to correct it? I would like to
see my pictures in color. I have a new Dell XPS 410 with an NVIDIA GeForce
7300 LE video card and a ViewSonic VX2235sm monitor running Vista Home
Premium.

Re: Screen Saver
I think the RANDOM setting does that. Haven't played around with it enough
yet

Re: Screen Saver
I'm a little skeptical of the My Pictures screensaver. On my Dell Inspiron 9400,
the display doesn't turn off when it's my screensaver (when the display off time
is longer than the SS on time, obviously), but any other is fine.

RE: Screen Saver
Hi, I had the same problem. I changed Random to another setting and the
colour returned to the pictures! As mentioned, I too think that Random has
this effect.

I will try that. Thanks.

Re: Screen Saver
It looks like the "random" selection has something to do with it. Thanks.

Re: Screen Saver
I had another post which confirmed your suspicion. Thanks.

I'm a little late to the thread, but don't forget, one of the options is a
"Black and White" effect.
So I'd guess what's happening is that while using random, it's simply
choosing the Black and White effect and that's when you're seeing no color .
.. . not a bug or glitch, but the effect doing exactly what it's supposed to
do.

Mic,
You are absolutely correct. I had not even looked at the drop down list
below "random". I just thought "random" would be good and let it go at that.
I didn't know that there was a "black & white" effect option. Thanks for
finally enlightening me on this.

No problem Ron, just a simple case of forgetting to RTFM. :-D
It happens to all of us from time to time. Just don't let it happen again.
