HELP with file transfer
Okay, I'm using the Easy Transfer Cable to move files from my old XP pc to my
new Vista pc. But my 100GB storage drive on my XP pc is labled D:. And the D:
drive on my new pc is only a 6GB backup drive. So obviously it starts moving
the files but fills up quickly and has to stop. Does anybody know how to
change the drive location of where to move the files to? It seems to want to
automatically want to match up drive's like C: to C: or D: to D:

Re: HELP with file transfer
I don't have an answer for your particular brand -- mine is Direct/Net Link
and uses an application called Thunderbird -- but just for your info, on my
PC with XP it is drive F, and on laptop with Vista it is drive G. First I
would try using Disk Manager to change the drives if possible. If not, then
I would try removing the cable, then try installing another USB item (or
virtual drive) that might become D: by default, then re-connect your cable
and see if it conjures up a new drive letter for itself.

Just my kind of thinking -- hope it might help.
