Folder view: making sort criteria appear in the menu permanently
When you explore a folder, you have an option to sort/view items by
name, size, type, etc. In the earlier versions of Windows, the fields
you could sort by were fixed and 'Type' was one of them in the drop-
down menu. I always like to sort by type as it makes for easy viewing
and identification of the file I am looking for. In earlier versions,
it was very easy for me and I'd grown used to the keyboard shortcut
Shift+F10, followed by T.
When I want to sort the items by 'Type' in Vista, the 'Type' item does
not appear in the drop down menu by default. One has to select the
option 'More' and select the 'Type' field everytime with every folder.
Is there a way I can make the 'Type' field appear as a default item in
the Sort by context menu while exploring folders in explorer.exe?
