Hi jlford30,

Welcome to Vista Forums. arty:

If you have a Express or Retail Vista installation DVD, you can do a
Repair install.

If not, you can do a System Restore and choose a restore point date
before this problem happened.

But if it was preinstalled by Dell then I'm SOL, I do have a OEM copy
(non-dell recovery disc) not being used, can I use that disc on the Dell
machine though?

Did the restore and ran the sfc after that point and I see these
errors. If I go further back will all my Microsoft apps have to be
reinstalled? (Office, Visual Studio)
