Installing a Game?

Hi. I recently got a computer as a gift . Beats my old piece of junk!
Well, Vista has confused, aggravated and bugged me to unnecessary
points :\. I want to install Star Wars: Empire at War, but when I click
"Install" I receive an error stating "This file does not have a program
associated with it for performing this action. Create an association
in the Set Association control panel.".

I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THAT IS. :P

Anyone want to help a completely dumb person with Vista?

Re: Installing a Game?
You might be clicking on a file such as Install.ico, which is only a graphic
image file. Try clicking on some other Install named files.
Or change your settings in file explore to not hide extensions for known
file types.
If this is not what your problem is, you should be able to right click the
DVD or CD drive icon in "Computer" and get a choice to install or some such
thing.

Re: Installing a Game?

I right clicked the DVD drive (Star Wars EaW) and clicked Explore.
Opened it up, went into Data, found a setup.exe, ran that, and it seems
to be installing....

Is there any way I can make sure I won't have to do this again?
