Re: Speech recognition it -> en
Hi,

When you say that you changed the system language, do you mean that you
added support for en (keyboard) or that you have Vista Ultimate and added
the english language MUI pack? Only with the latter would you be able to
employ the speech recognition.

Hi,

No, you're misinterpreting the response, reading it backwards as it were.
The MUI doesn't enable or add speech, it enables a change of the base OS
language. If the base OS language is changed by the addition of an MUI to a
language that is supported by the speech recognition engine then it will
work in that supported language.

Re: Speech recognition it -> en
Hi,

You'd have to upgrade it to Ultimate in order to use an MUI language pack.

Re: Speech recognition it -> en
You cannot use MUI, only if you upgrade to Ultimate, but there are some
other
partial language packs that are free for all versions of vista and are
called LIP.

I have not found lip for all lanugages.. so you will have to see what is
available

Re: Speech recognition it -> en
Is it reasonable to expect an italian language version of the speech
recognition application? If yes, when will microsoft release it?

Thanks
