Re: process manager
Hello everyone, my first post on here, can't say I have much love for vista since owning one.

I've had the same issue of multiple taskeng.exe's appearing out of nowhere, visibly slowing down my pc in all aspects until ended then it perks up again, I tried the method back up the page to no avail BUT I spotted a svchost.exe which was actively using too much cpu and memory to be normal, so I killed it, nearly crashed my pc but it worked, pc's still on, no more taskeng's appearing right now, hope that info's helpful to you guys, just don't click the wrong one cause that really can crash your pc. I have no idea if its a permanent solution I dare not turn the pc off yet

Also since my last reinstall of vista I have not updated anything through updates, nothing. If I do my screen stops working, also I'm getting not a genuine copy pop ups and cannot directly access control panel, but that's a story for another topic, plus I'd sooned set fire to it than phone dell again.

...I have another update, it's been about 10 minutes, I managed to get a blue death screen and crash the pc, revealing that it is indeed a temporary fix, also aswell as taskeng's i'm seeing ld08.exe, pp07.exe, sdra64.exe, all feel out of place imo, i've been doing process killing since xp, also those we're never there before through 3 reinstalls of vista... anyone else getting weird extra processes?
