PHotos won't import or resize reliably with any program

When I import pictures from a camera or built in card reader, no matter what
program I use, it will stop part way through (randomly it seems) as if it has
finished. Or sometimes I get a message that the destination drive is full
when it isn't.

If I use a resizer like the one in windows Mail, it will randomly not rezise
one or more pictures in a list (different each time even with the same
pictures).

If I use a program like VSO resizer, it will stop midway just like the
imports, randomly...different place each time with the same pictures.

Has anyone else seen this. Any fix?
