Missing Cursor at start up.
I have a recurring problem with my cursor disappearing from the screen after
I login for the first time. What happens is that after the desktop has loaded
the cursor is not there. Sometimes the cursor is visible but won't move, I
can right click the mouse to bring up the menu, but the cursor is frozen. I
Ctrl/Alt/Del to Switch User to guest (I sign in as Administrator) and the
cursor performs as it should but when I Ctrl/Alt/Del switch back to original
user all I get is a dark screen.
More often the cursor is not there to begin with. I initially thought the
wireless mouse was causing the problem, but it happens with the touchpad and
when using a wired mouse. The only option is to power off the computer
manually and reboot, usually successfully with the cursor behaving normally.
This is really annoying because it's a (relatively) new laptop.
If anyone has any ideas about how to fix this I would like to know.
Thanks.

Have you gone to Control Panel/Mouse and looked at the settings for the
mouse? Settings for the Touch Pad should be there too. Maybe, you need to
make some adjustments.

Re: Missing Cursor at start up.
Well I've taken your advice and ticked a few extra boxes in Control
Panel/Mouse. I'll keep an eye on it and see if this makes a difference the
next few times I boot the computer.
Thanks Mr Arnold
