Re: Question : XP or Vista?
If you are buying a new computer and any software or peripherals you plan to
use with the new computer are Vista compatible then I'd get Vista with the
new computer. If your current computer is working well and you are happy
with it I'd stay with XP on it. If you want to test Vista or are a geek who
likes playing with new things then go for it.

Actually a piece of cake. Obtain a now available filthy dirt cheap huge
hard drive and put Vista on it. Vista takes care of everything and you can
dual boot.

I now mostly boot into Vista. Quite like it.

Why? Just to have the "newest and shiniest OS?" If your current
operating system is meeting all of your computing needs, there's no real
reason to change your operating system. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

If you do want to upgrade, then simply choose whichever one best
meets *your* specific computing needs, of course! And as none of us
have functional crystal balls, you'll have to research and decide for
yourself.

Re: Question : XP or Vista?

Well mister clause...Provide all your research and proof the people who
use Vista are stupid. Or we will have to say that you are an "idiot" for
your opinion. I've been using Vista for over a year and NEVER had an
issue.

You cant expect to be taken seiously in a techical ng if you cant
handle your own equipment.

Re: Question : XP or Vista?
alright let me tell u about vista. it looks cool and has a few new
things that u cannot do in xp, but it also changes everything u can do
in xp and makes it different. for example in xp you can easily change
settings for your computer. but in vista it makes changing things so
much more difficult. and if anyone wants to say that im just dumb and
dont know how to use a computer ill have u know that im microsoft
certified so i assure u that i can use a computer just fine. dont get me
wrong vista is nice but it is not neccesary to get it unless u really
want to get it and learn how to use it. so if your computer is running
just fine with xp then i would just keep xp and wait for sp3 to come
out. remember if its not broken then there is no need to try and fix it.
