Downloads cuase explorer to restart

I dont even get to click on run/install or save it just automatically
restarts itself to my home page as soon as the download window appears

try reseting IE7 and disabling some of the add ons

to do these steps start Internet Explorer then go to

tools> internet options > programs

click on MANAGE ADD-ONS and try disabling some of them, restart IE7 and see
if it works now

then try this if the problem insists:


go again tools> internet options>advanced

and press the restore settings and the reset button there


tell me if this helps

if this too does not fix it

download and install www.freedownloadmanager.org

from another computer, then install it on your computer

or better yet install firefox www.getfirefox.com
