HTTP Sniffer
I am running EffeTech HTTP Sniffer on my network, but I only see packets that
come from and to my computer, and from nobody else, any ideas?

It sounds like a question for Effetech, surely? How is this a Vista issue?

Is your machine connected to a switch and if so, does the switch support
monitoring? If you're connected to a switch rather than a hub, you'll only
see traffic on the same Virtual LAN - unless you take special steps. And,
does your network card support promiscuous mode? You might also need to
update the version of WinPCap, for Vista.

Obviously, Gawd doesn't want you to sniff any further. Do you belong to the
FBI or something?

Cheers.

Do you use Linux? Everytime you "google", you're using Linux.

Re: HTTP Sniffer

Does anyone know how to make any http sniffers work in Vista Ultimate
64-bit? I am on a dialup connection and use UrlHelper on my XP system
but it doesn't work in vista. If it helps you to know, I use AOL 9.1VR
(it does work with 64-bit). Any help would be appreciated. I am open
to using other programs than urlhelper and free is better still.
