Re: Monitor won't wake up
It might involve the video driver. If you know you are using the latest
remember that they all are beta drivers.
Just a thought.

Re: Monitor won't wake up
Thanks for the tip, turning the screen saver off worked for me. Was going
nuts trying to figure out why the monitor wouldn't turn back on. Still not
sure why, the computer is awake and I can terminal into it, but the monitor
was stuck in sleep mode. Must be something to do with the video card not
sensing the mouse or keyboard activity...thanks again--

Dave

RE: Monitor won't wake up
I'm having an even more troubling issue: my monitor randomly goes to sleep
even when I'm actively using the computer (typing/moving the mouse, etc.)

RE: Monitor won't wake up
I have the exact same issue with RTM and Beta drivers for a Radeon 9600. The
monitor will often not turn back on, usually after remote access. Cold reboot
or reboot from Remote Desktop is the only known solution for me at the moment.

Re: Monitor won't wake up
ive had this problem since i started using vista, with the last 3 ati driver
updates for vista. what makes me mad is that i turn off sleep mode completly
and for some reason it resets back to the "shut off monitor after 20 min"
every hour or so. Anyone know how to make vista keep my power settings once
ive changed them?
