Restoring Files After Re-install
Hypothetical question. Let's say I need to completely re-install Windows.
Can I restore files backed up by the Backup Status and Configuration wizard?

Also, how do I view files that were backed up using this process? Thanks!

Re: Restoring Files After Re-install
Hi Matt--

Unhypothetical question. What's the reason you might "need to completely
reinstall Windows"? Telling us the reason helps us give you the best
specific options for your problem(s). We might be able to fix them fast and
then you don't have to reinstall.

As to Vista Backup and retrieving files from it--resources are here:

A Guide to Windows Vista Backup Technologies

Vista Backup

I prefer Acronis True Image 10 for backup software:

Acronis Free Trial:

Good luck,

CH

Re: Restoring Files After Re-install
Chad,
At this point, it is hypothetical. I'm preparing for worst case scenario
such as a hard drive failure on my primary partition of Windows. I'm not
running RAID so I want to know I can restore my files from a backup performed
from a different installation of Windows.

Thanks for the links, I"ll check them out.
