Cannot Dual boot anymore
I have vista on my C: drive (promary drive) and Xp mce on D: drive
(secondary hdd)
when I select Xp mce from the boot menu it fails to boot
The error message that comes up says; "winload.exe missing or corrupt"
"/windows/system32/winload.exe" any idea's ???

note; I'm using vista boot pro ver3.1

Charlie Russel has a repair article (written for XP x64 but it works the
same for XP x86) at

didn't work
your suggestion was fine and it booted to the correct drive and windows
installation However there must be something wrong with the actuall windows
installation because when I try to boot into it , it just reboots the
computerso I'm reinstalling my XP

This time disconnect all external devices you can, especially usb.
