System Restore Size / Registry
Scrolling the Registry I found the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\SystemRestore\cfg

In the right pane there is a dword value "DiskPercent = f (hexadecimal)"
which sets the amount of System Restore to 15%.

Question: is it possible to adjust the System Restore size permanently by
changing this value?

Thanks,
Jurij Vega

RE: System Restore Size / Registry
Vega - Go to "howtogeek.com". You will find his instructions for reducing
System Restore usage. Mine is down to 5% and my earliest restore point goes
back about one week. It's simple to do. Wayne

Good question. Good link from Rick. Here's an explanation from Jill Zoller
with input from SR team members at MSFT:

Good luck,

Thanks Rick Rogers, Wayne L and Chad Harris for your prompt replies.
I followed your suggestions and reduced the Restore size to 5GB from
previous 18GB.

Thanks again,
Jurij Vega
