vista hp printer driver won't install

I tried to install the driver (off the CD) for my HP 6210ix all-in-one
officejet printer and of course, vista doesn't like it.

When installing, it says that I need administrator priviliges (I have).


I went to HP to install the driver off their website and of course they
say I have the most current version.

I set up a separate administrator user and it still would not install
for the same reason.

Of course the vista driver for this printer also says that I need
administrator priviliages as well.

Any ideas to solve this problem?

This may work, did for me, remove everything that you have installed to
drive the printer, then without CD installing, go directly to the HP site,
type in the printer name and download the Vista drivers. May not help, but I
found first installing from CD and then downloading new drivers on top
didn't work.

Had the same problem, then turned off UAC and it installed fine.
