Disappearing Pre-loaded Games
Small problem, all the pre-loaded vista games like Chess, Minesweeper etc
have disappeared ! I cant be totally certain but I think this happened after
an otherwise flawless "Anytime Upgrade" from Vista Business to Ultimate, the
problem is I'm not entirely sure that Vista Business ever actually had them
but I know they should be included with Ultimate. They havent been deleted,
hidden or disabled by the performance checker because this particular machine
clocks a reasonably healthy 5.9, anyway's any help greatly appreciated.
UPDATE Hold 'Em poker has just appeared as part of an update download.
(excuse my terrible spelling, to lazy to spellcheck) Thanks

Re: Disappearing Pre-loaded Games
Go to Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off. You can
install them from there.

Thanks Paul ! I'd have never thought of that. I owe you a pint.

Re: Disappearing Pre-loaded Games

I have done suggested fixit - all boxes for all games are checked - and
still when I open the games folder they do not appear to be there.

Re: Disappearing Pre-loaded Games

Just found the definitive fixit for this problem....
Go to 'turn on/off windows features' and click all the games off. Then
you must click OK at the bottom. Then shut down your PC. Start it back
up, and go back to the 'turn windows features on...' and click all the
games on again. Then you must click OK at the bottom again, and they
will re-install automatically for you. I did it and it worked perfectly!

Re: Disappearing Pre-loaded Games

And if you still can't see some of the "packed" games, then open the
Games Explorer, click Options, then "Unhide Games"
