Vista and Lord of the Rings Online
Overall poor performance with this game. I have a custom machine... AMD X2
4400+ on an Asus nForce 4 SLI Premium board with 2Gigs of corsair RAM and a
nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 256. A few issues come up:
Graphical performance - likely driver linked but I'll put it here anyway.
Initially, poor FPS. With latest driver, FPS issues addressed, however now
some graphics randomly become corrupted or don't load resulting in glaring
RGB overlays.
Game Crash - on a long enough time-line (1.5-2 hours+) it is a certainty.
Game stops responding and forces a reset. What is interesting is the memory
usage, which is far beyond any program I have ever used... at times of crash
(when I access Task Manager and actually have a look), memory usage is
upwards of 1.1Gigs... that can't be right? Well, seems to be so, as it makes
even a dual-core processor sluggish on other simple tasks such as browsing
the web or Alt-Tabbing through windows.

Same with crashing here. Looking at the LOTRO support forums the crashing
is a known issue with systems running Vista (memory leak?). I can play for
about 30 minutes before I get the old CTD.
Sys Specs:Vista Ultimate
AMD 185 Oc'd to 3.15, ATI 1950 pro 256MB, 2GB Corsair XLL ddr400, X-FI plat.

Re: Vista and Lord of the Rings Online
I have had only one crash with LOTRO but after that I have not had another
bad experience with it.
the only time i get laggy is in high lag areas ie: towns never really
outside of that
