U must install ur video cards drivers , open Run in start menu Type "DXDIAG"
click on the display menu and look there if Direct3D is enabled or disabled.
if disabled , then install ur video card drivers.

Download and install this:

It is the DirectX9.0c that installs certain components of DirectX that
aren't included with Vista (well, different versions, but it gets
complicated!).

That should make the game work for you.
