Oblivion-Vista (32Bit) Scroll wheel
Anyone else having a problem with Oblivion and the scroll wheel? My issue is
that Oblivion will not react to scroll wheel inputs unless I disconnect and
reconnect the mouse (USB).. It doesn't matter whether its a wired mouse or
wireless, whether I run Oblivion in XP SP2 mode or as admin.... other that
that the game runs as fast or fast then it did in XP... Fresh OS install,
fresh Oblivion install..

Any help or insights greatly appreciated (don't want to wear out my USB
port)..

Asus PL5SLI, ATI X1950Pro, Core2 6400, OCZ PC5400 2GB ram.... should have
just enough snort to make a scroll wheel work in vista :-)

TIA...

Francois

RE: Oblivion-Vista (32Bit) Scroll wheel
well I'm running a razer deathadder and an ms explorer on my system and the
scrollwheels of both work just fine in oblivion under vista HP 32 bit, so I
think the problem lies elsewhere. Do you have the mouses own drivers
installed?

Re: Oblivion-Vista (32Bit) Scroll wheel
Running the new 6.2 ms mouse driver, (both mice are ms versions)... will
look into my usb port drivers... might be something there....

Odd problem for sure....

Re: Oblivion-Vista (32Bit) Scroll wheel
I have the same problem with Oblivion under Vista Home Premium 32bit. The
scroll wheel of my MS wireless optical mouse 2 won't work within the menus
of Oblivion but are fine elsewhere. I'm using MS drivers also.

Re: Oblivion-Vista (32Bit) Scroll wheel
Solved...partly. I've moved my mouse over to the PS/2 socket and Oblivion
plays fine. Scrolling is also smoother within Windows Vista...a MS driver
problem or USB2?

Asus A8N-SLI, 1gb Twinmos, Athlon x2 +4200, 2x7600GT (where's my SLI driver
Nvidia?), X-Fi.

RE: Oblivion-Vista (32Bit) Scroll wheel
I cant even get oblivion to load at all, much less having problems with the
wheel. same goes with every game I try to load on vista except with never
winter nights 2. that plays perfect. call of duty wont load, city of heroes
has issues. im just gonna switch back to xp till they get a fix for all games
with vista
