New game loaded unable to open

I have loaded hanger 9 fsone, a flight simulator. It is supposed to be vista
compatable. however when i try to open it it just pops up a black window and
then disappears. What do i need to do to run this program

Is your video card compatable with the game?
Correct driver version, etc.
Do you have any unusual features on your system?
What is running in background?

In otherwords, you left us with a "black hole" concerning the details of
your system.

What video card do you have? Do you have the newest drivers for it? Also, do
you have DX9.1c installed?
