Technet has a DX10 Demo called Call of Juarez DX10 Benchmark.
If you have upgraded to DX10 for FSX, turn off DX10 Preview. It will give
you nothing but trouble. I don't know what it does, but it isn't good.
A lot of what DX10 does is to smooth the colors. Obviously, this takes more
resources, so you may need to adjust your FSX sliders after you do it. FSX
is designed for the biggest, baddest computer around, so you don't need to
feel bad if you can bring all the sliders over for your system. It has all
the nice features a really good computer will give you. Just back off the
sliders to the place where the results are smooth for you. Since a lot of
the upgrade is in color shadings, you're not going to see a "fantastic"
improvement in performance. It just makes for a more pleasant
experience--if you have the hardware.
