Change icon for filetype
I installed Adobe CS2 and it works fine, but Illustrator documents don't
have an icon in explorer (photoshop, InDesign etc do). How can I tell Vista
to use the Illustrator icon? If I double click the file Illustrator is
launched so the file association works - it's just the icon

Re: Change icon for filetype

I know this post is old and you may have already found the solution, but
I had the same problem with CS3. Illustrator and Photoshop icons are
there, but not InDesign.
To all who are experiencing this problem, here is the fix:

Go to *C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Shell*, and
double-click on *Register64BitIcons.bat*.
A command box will pop-up, and then you should get a message of
success!

Your solution worked for me, the only thing, I had to run the file "as administrator" otherwise I would get an error.

This has been bugging me for a while, thanks again.

Re: Change icon for filetype

It's not perfect though, It only seems to work in explorer windows,
not 'Open file' boxes, etc.
