Trying to edit windows\system.ini?

I have to make sure this drive will stop running when i turn my computer
on.

specifically i have to find

[boot]
drivers=wndrv16.dll

and delete that.

I wonder why the "forum" to which you posted this forwarded your question to
THIS newsgroup, which is only for peer-to-peer support of Windows VISTA.
The System.ini file hasn't been used since at least Win98, as I recall.
