Unable to find file that we previously used just two weeks ago

We are unable to find a few files on my husbands computer that we previously
accessed just two weeks ago. We tried to do a search and came up with
nothing, but we can't find them now. Any suggestions?

Here is a suggestion--answer the following questions:

1. What kinds of files were these?

2. Where were they?

3. How did you access them two weeks ago?

4. Are you aware of the possibility that one or the other of you may
have accidentally deleted the files?
