Help! "You must type a filename."

A few days ago, creating a folder with ".(period)" in its name was so
possible however just recently i've been getting the error as stated in
the title. Anyway to fix this?

Then you say: "been getting the error as stated in the title" by title I can only assume you
mean
the Subject: field of your message? Your subject line reads: " You must type a _filename_."

It sounds like you are trying to save a *file* as in Save As and also wanting to create a new
folder during the process, (which is ok) to save the file you have not named before you click
save.

To fix as you say, and to avoid the problem in the future as I say. Go to the folder you want
to save the file to and create the subfolder you want to save the file to before you try to save
a file.
Or you could just try remembering that you have to name a file before you save it in the Save As
operation no matter what folder you want to save it to.

With no more information than you have given, that's my best guess.
