Unable to find my microsoft word compatibility file

I opened a microsoft word document attachment from my hotmail account... so it opened it... so then it was a compatibility file. Then I worked on the file and instead of clicking Save As, I clicked Save. Now I cant find the file anymore. It seems to have dissapeared.

Can someone please please help!
