How to recover My Picture File in Vista

Somehow when I was deleting a folder in my pictures, it deleted the entire my
pictures folder. I can't even access the my picture folder. how do I recover
this? and why did this happen? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Did you check your recycle bin?

Thanks Robert for your reply, I did check the recycle bin but nothing there
the folder I was trying to deleted was being permantly deleted. I not sure
why it would deleted the whole picture file. I've tryed system restore which
brought back acess to the folder but none of my files are in there . Where
does the files g when ti permently delets files I guess that what I need to
look for.

The My Pictures directory has been replaced in Vista with just Pictures.
Have you looked for Pictures?

TRY GETTING IT FROM THE RECYCLE BIN
