installed windows desktop search 4 but no effect on

hi
I have installed WDS 4 on vista, its installed sucessfully but nothings
changed.

I have no deskbar option in the toolbars menu, also theres no option to add
unc locations in index options.

Its like it hasnt been installed at all and im running standard version of
search that comes with vista.

Ive tried removing and reinstalling


any ideas please?

has anyone noticed that Windows 2008/Vista Windows Explorer doesn't sort file entries correctly? This is how it shows 5 entries, sorted by name:

03001A36.HTM
03001A39.HTM
030014D2.HTM
030017F1.HTM
030017F4.HTM

That is sorted quite correctly. Why do think it's not?
