Greetigs guys! I've been using Vista Ultimate for a couple of weeks and I'm
getting really tired with it. The worst OS Mustdie has ever written!
The question I'd like to raise is about content searching inside different
file formats, especially the most commonly used like DJVU and PDF files.
So, when I used Mustdie Desktop search in WinXP everything worked perfectly.
After installing MS DS I only needed to download iFilters for DJVU and PDF
files. And after that search would run smoothly. Any other customization
would also be simple. I.e., if I needed to search within C++ source files or
PHP all that was needed, was to add corresponding file extentions to one
textbox, that was responsible for text files searching.
What about Vista? Not only it doesn't search inside DJVU and PDF files, it
takes so much effort to add 10 or more new text files extentions to search
in. Completely exhausting and ineffective!
The question is, how can I get Vista to search inside DVJU and PDF files?
And is there any way that I can easily add necessary textfile extentions to
search in?
(i.e. something like creating list of extentions to search in separated with
commas: cpp, c, sln, pas, bas, vbs, php,
js, html, xhtml, dhtml, etc.)
