Windows Vista Search Not Working

I am having problems with the Vista search not showing anything at all. It
shows all files are indexed but still nothing coming up. I have followed the
instructions and gone to control panel and deleted the current index and then
it reindexed again slowly but still never any search results in windows or
outlook. please help as its driving me mad. Also have rebooted several times
to no avail.
I'm running Vista Business with Outlook 2007 on a Sony Vaio.
It works ok on my XP machine with Outlook 2007.

I started a thread on 3/12/07 called "Vista Search doesn't find files by
filename." I received a number of responses that, although they didn't help
my particular situation, contained a good list of just about everything to
check when Search isn't working right. You might want to check that thread
out.
