Cannot Delete Adobe Captivate file

I have an Adobe Captivate file on my desktop that I cannot delete. When I
drag it to the Trash, it runs and runs without letup. I have tried to copy
over it, tried to rename it, tried to move it, but it won't budge. I've tried
commercial software that will delete anything, but this won't work either.
I've started in Safe mode, and still it won't delete the file. I was thinking
about using and axe and trying to hack it off my desktop, but that's to
expensive. Does anyone have a suggestion? I don't know what else to do.
