Does the Public folder still exist under 'C:\Users' ?
What folder opens if you type the command:
shell:savedgames
from the Start Search box? That is the folder that Windows thinks is your
saved games folder. Try the same with:
shell

ublic
That should open the folder Windows thinks is your public folder. Are they
the same?
If your comfortable with basic registry work, run regedit & export the
following key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders]
Also, open a command prompt & type: set public<Enter>
What are the results of that?
Be aware that this situation can be made more confusing by desktop.ini files
providing a display name for folders that is different from the actual
folder name. Click once in the breadcrumb bar to see the actual folder
path.
Post back & we can get this fixed.
