Recently I added Windows Destop Search to my XP work laptop and once I set
it up and let it index everything it works great!
At home, I have Vista on my laptop. I suppose it is the home version.
I found that Vista has WDS as part of the application
I had already loaded legit Office 2003 software.
Problem:-
I cannot get WDS to search Outlook 2003.
Other files are found OK.
Outlook appears in the Index options, all ticked all the way through the
personal folders etc.
I have enable .pst file type in the advanced index settings.
All the folder properties in the paths to the personal folders have the
indexing enabled.
I have done a Detect and Repair from the Outlook Help button, followed by a
re-index.
I have tried Rebuild with Oultlook launched and left it running all night, in
case it was still indexing in the background.
If I rebuild the indexing always starts and finishes according to the
Indexing Options window within a couple of minutes.
Last night I downloaded and applied Addon:-

This is supposed to include .msg type files.
No go.
Has anyone got theirs working?
Am I missing something obvious?
