Deleted files reappearing in Vista 64
I have an odd problem for which I cannot find an answer in the support KB.

I've downloaded several large demo games to my desktop ( 1GB+ each). After
installing them, I SHIFT-DEL the 3 files and they are deleted from the
desktop. They reappear on the desktop after a reboot.

How do I delete them for good?

Re: Deleted files reappearing in Vista 64
I've tried deleting the files in Safe Mode and they continue to reappear on
my desktop soon after a reboot (I can't tell exactly when they return, but
usually within an hour).

Does anyone know if there is a Vista process that automatically restores
deleted files? I tried using Backup and Restore at one point, but ran out of
space on the backup device very quickly, so I turned it off. That's the only
area I can see that would have an effect on this issue.

I'm still confused and trying to get this diskspace back. Any help greatly
appreciated.
