moving ppt files from desktop

WHen I attempt to move a ppt file in windows explorer it shuts down. I am
directed to KB938979. WHen I attempt to load the fix I get the message, does
nto apply to your system. I have a 32 bit system and I am choosing the fix
for the 32 bit system.

Regarding installing the fix, go to Windows Update in Control Panel, and
click on "View update history". That update, KB938979, may already have
been installed by Windows Update...
