Rename a folder

I cant rename folders in my new VISTA because I "am not authorised" and to
achieve that I have to answer a hopelessly confusing set of questions of
which I am clueless what it means or implies. How do i get rid of all that
$%^* because I am the only user of my computer ... no groups , verified
users, administrators or what have you .. its just me and I want to rename
folders wherever i can! A step by step approach accounting for all future to
be renamed folders would be great.

I'll assume you are not trying to rename OS-related folders (like "Windows"
or "System32", etc.) ;-)

Try this:

Open Control Panel and double-click on "User Accounts". There you should see
a link called "Turn User Account Control on and off". Click on that link and
follow the resulting directions.
