Did not change hardware, but being asked to activate again

Today I get a message telling me I have 3 days left to
activate Windows following a hardware change. This is strange because I have
not made any hardware changes, except for adding in a new hard drive about a
month ago. I try to activate, but it says that the key is already in use.
What do I do?

Hi Funky,

The next time you have the option to activate, I would suggest using the
Activate over the Phone option. Call the number, and get a customer service
rep. You can explain the situation to them, and they'll give you the
information that you need to activate it.
