Problem with duplicate user on welcome screen - I have looked extensively for this same issue with no luck
I have an E-Machines desktop, with Vista Home Basic sp2. I have three users set up, but one is showing up twice on the welcome screen, and they both log in to the same account. There are only the three users showing up in the Account manager along with the Guest account which is turned off.
This is not an upgrade from a previous version of Windows, and I do not have any sort of biometric device such as a fingerprint scanner.
Also at random times the CPU usage will jump to 100% and remain there untill I reboot. This only seems to happen when the user that is doubled is logged in.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
