The user name or password is incorrect error
I recently decided to password protect my computer so that upon startup I have to type in a password. But now when I start up the computer I get a "the user name or password is incorrect" error message (at this point I haven't done anything except push the power button to turn the computer on). So, I press the "OK" button, and a user named Amy (with a different picture then mine) appears and a password is requested. I don't know the password for this account, and don't ever remember setting it up, so I click "switch user". Then it shows me two accounts, both named Amy with different pictures. The second Amy listed is the one I recognize with my picture, so I have been logging in that one with the password I set. But it seems silly to have to go through that many steps to log on. So after I logged in, I looked on user accounts so that I could delete the duplicate account, but the other Amy account is not there. Only mine and the option to turn on a guest. I would like to remove that duplicate so that the startup goes straight to MY Amy. Anyone have any ideas?
