Essay Over Violence
Violence
Violence is a powerful thing that will never be stopped. Violence happens everday and is portrayed in many ways from
the Epic Beowulf stories and in everyday life like the War on Iraq.
In the stories of Beowulf, violence is viewed by Beowulf and his men traveling to eliminate a deadily monster who corrupts Hrothgars Kingdom.
The enemy's name Grendel, the beasts took the lives of Hrothgars men. Beouwulf in return slays the monster and cuts the arm off to boast
about his victory. Another example is when Grendels mother takes a life from Beowulfs platoon. To avenge his death Beowulf beheads Gren-
dels Mother.
The War on Iraq is similar to the violence in Beowulf but in present time.
Many american soldiers are sent to protect and fight overseas to eliminate the enemy from the Iraqi people. Soldiers are forced to fight with a kill
or be killed mentality. Soldiers are being held in prison camps and are isolated from there regular lives for years and some are tortured. The war
was also aided towards the 9/11 attacks from the taliban who crashed planes into the Twin Towers which killed many innocnet lives.
In conclusion I think that Violence will never go away no matter what goes through out history.
