Try booting in safe mode, by tapping the F8 key until the safe mode window
opens.
Safe mode should be highlighted, hit return,
If successful, then on the start-run line,
Type: control userpasswords2 and hit return.
Un-check Users must supply a name and password to use this computer.
Follow any screen prompts.
