Being asked for a password when one wasn't set

I am on a Dell Inspiron 1318 with Vista Home Premium and when I try to
log in I am asked for a password when I didn't set one. I have tried
going into safe mode and am asked for a password as well. I tried just
hitting enter without putting in a password and it is still not letting
me in.

I have tried loading the Directory Services Restore Mode and have tried
Offline NT Password and Registry editor and am still not able to do
anything. I also tried removing the harddrive and placing it in an
external case and connected it to another computer to scan for viruses
and that didn't help either. Can someone please help?

I was able to get this. I got Hiren's Boot CD and was able to get the
password reset!
