Files blocked by administrator....

So i have administrator status on my computer jsut the same as i did with xp.
I tried to go into my local folders (which are hidden) so that i can extract
my .pst files for outlook tha ti backed up using Acronis 10 when i installed
vista. Every time i do this outlook seems to "loose" the files and i have to
find them again.

How ever i can not see if they are there because when i try to access those
hidden files it says that i need to gets rights from my administrator......
Last time i checked being administrator is the administrator am i wrong? I
am pretty sure i do not have uac on because that thing is annoying beyond
belief. I have vista ultimate edition.

How do i gain access to those files and what not so i can fix outlook and
get his done with . I have a whole ton of e-mails that i would perfer not to
loose.
